The Fans-Scousers and Mancs Liverpool and Manchester are two powerhouse cities in North West England. They are only 30 miles apart on a map, down the East Lancs Road by car, but they may be closer than they let on when it comes to culture and identity.
Scousers hate the Mancs and vice versa its always gonna happen. I remember when I lived in Northampton and I watched Tranmere play away (I was with the away fans) We was getting called scousers by the fans and we was shouting back we are not scousers.
When United hit their stride during the happy, clappy 90s Sky Sports and Soccer AM had got their paws on the game and began sanitizing and sterlising and generalising the “product” so the new insults and songs etc began to become less mocking and insulting to a general football following base in Plymouth or Yeovil or Brighton.
